OVAL is developing a first-ever continuous lactate monitoring platform designed to unlock a new layer of metabolic intelligence. Lactate is one of the body's clearest signals of how it is actually producing and using energy, and until now it has only been readable in snapshots, a finger prick in a lab, a blood draw mid-test, a number without a trend line.

OVAL makes that signal continuous. A wearable biosensor streams lactate in real time, and OVAL's models turn the raw signal into something you can act on: where your metabolic thresholds actually sit, how your body shifts between burning fat and burning carbohydrate, and how training, food, sleep, and stress move those lines day to day.

Paired with continuous glucose, the picture gets sharper still. Glucose shows what fuel is available; lactate shows how efficiently your body is using it. Together they describe metabolic flexibility, the ability to store energy and to reach for it on demand, which is where OVAL's next step points: a dual-analyte sensor reading both analytes from a single wearable.
